Learning Paths School, Mohali hosted the mega event ‘World Scholar’s Cup’, Chandigarh Round on the 26th and 27th of April, 2019. Upwards of 350 students participated from 27 Schools, across the tricity and beyond. The ceremony was initiated with the Vandana-Dance performance, by the students of LPS. Renowned Educationist, Jeremy Chumley delivered the keynote address to the audience. The World Scholar’s Cup, a global academic tournament is a conglomeration of debates, collaborative writing, multiple choice tests and a multimedia quiz. The core idea is to motivate students to not just focus on their existing skills and areas of strength, but also to discover the new ones. Each year scholars explore a new overarching theme. The theme for this year is ‘A World on the Margins.’
Over 1200 medals were awarded under different categories. Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh stood First in the junior category, while Learning Paths bagged the Second and Third position. In the senior category, Springdale Senior School, Amritsar, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh and Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh stood First, Second and Third respectively.
